Yesterday I sat up in bed until after 12:00 PM watching the inauguration. I should have gone to work much earlier than I did - but then again - things like this only happen once in 4 years and I may not live to see the next one.
It was quite a site! I like the pomp and circumstance of the dignitaries being introduced, especially the former and sitting Presidents and their wives.
I found myself tearing up several times during the ceremony. I can only imagine if I was 20 years older how this would have felt. I remember so many things from the 1960's and 70's that I can recognize and respect that this was truly a HUGE milestone for our country and the world.
And, I truly hope that those who have had qualms or fears will unite with everyone else and truly work to return this country to a time of prosperity and peace!
